Garden Progress ~

Pictures from our garden. Everything has grown SO much, with all of the rain. I think we've gotten over 12 inches in the past 3 weeks! It would be so nice if we could only spread that rain out over the summer! :) Enjoy!

Pole beans, okra and lettuce

Cabbage

Squash blossom

Pole beans

Bell pepper

Asparagus

Carrots

Cabbage, Brussel sprouts, carrots, raddishs, swish chard, pinks [flowers] & lettuce

Our first tomato!

One of our first ripe strawberries! Sadly, we only bought a few strawberry plants, so it's just a tease. [We really need a big field of them!] :)

Very nice! Looks like you're already enjoying the fruit of your labors! Are you picking and discarding the strawberries as they appear so you'll get a larger crop as of the 2nd year? (I heard of that trick somewhere) Abby, I finally answered your question in your comment on my gardening post. :-).

Thank you for the compliments! We've harvested a few things, but not many. I think we've harvested a few peppers, a few beans and A LOT of swiss chard (grows very easily).

Thanks for the comment!

Things really are bigger in Texas. Your garden looks wonderful. Mine is slowly starting to bloom but no veggies yet. Happy eating.

Blessings,

Victoria

Victoria,

Thanks for the comment!

Yeah, I like that saying... it's very true. It's nice to be able to pick and eat garden fresh vegetables.
