A visit to ICR ~

Henry Madison Morris, (1913-2006). This painting hangs in the lobby of the ICR building.
Yesterday (Thursday) our whole family went down to the Institute for Creation Research. They have just recently re-located to Dallas, and we had set up a meeting with Lawrence Ford. While we were there Mr. Ford gave us a tour of their facility. They own a whole blocks worth of buildings, including a large building they hope to use as a creation museum. Here are a few pictures from our visit:

We have arrived!

We were privileged to speak to Dr. John Morris for a few minutes.

A day with U.J. and A.N. ~

The mysterious A.N.
On Wednesday we had spent a great day with U.J. and A.N., along with Grandpa, Grandma and Jason. We went down to our Grandparents' house around 9:30am. Joel got to visit about an hour before he had to leave for his work. After he left we played a game of basketball, then ate lunch. After lunch we drove the rented van and drove to the Department of Public Safety building for some business U.J. needed to do. After about an hour wait at the DPS, we drove to a huge Goodwill outlet store, and shopped around for over an hour. We found many bargains! After being out for 3 or 4 hours, we drove to get some refreshing Bubble Tea. Then we finally drove back to Grandpa and Grandma's house. Once we rested for a few minutes, we drove over to the Dallas Christian College gymnasium. We played a tiring 45 minute game of basketball. Finally, we drove from the college to Denton to have dinner with the Knowles, our cousins. While at the Knowles we had a yummy supper of spaghetti and meatballs, had a great time visiting, and played several games of fooseball. It was all quite fun, and tiring. We finally got home around 10:45pm, and immediately fell into bed, exhausted.
Now, it might mysterious why I'm not giving the full name, but just giving the initials: U.J. and A.N. Can anyone guess who these two mysterious people are? If you want to give it a try, leave us a comment with your guess.

Stop HR 2749 "Farm Bill"

The so called "farm safety bill" is to be voted on either today or tomorrow. This bill would basically kill all small farms, and would make it dangerous to grow your own food.

Please take a few minutes and contact your Representatives and urge them to vote against this horrid piece of legislation! This must be stopped and if we all call our reps, then it can happen.

For liberty,
Abby

Cleaning

Today, all of we kids (except Joel) are down here in 'BIG D', helping Dad's parents clean and get ready for Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Naomi's arrival. Caleb and Phoebe grilled chicken for lunch.

Caleb's Birthday (the 11th of this month) was 8 days before Joel's (the 19th of this month), but I posted the Birthday photos in wrong order. Sorry!

Blowing out the Birthday candles

Oh, that technology!!!

We apologize that we haven't posted any posts lately. Our laptop is down, and our other computer is too slow to load photos with. I was just trying to load-up some photos from our camera, using my Grandma's computer, but it is not working. Again, I apologize!

Blessings,
Johanna (for the Kautts)

Leighann Grace is here!

Open eyed Leighann Grace

Our church's former pianist and our close friend, Amy Talbert, delivered their daughter Leighann Grace, yesterday morning at 7:54. We are so thrilled (and so are they!) that she was born, and there were no mishaps or complications (as far as I know). We are praying for you, Tony, Amy and Leighann! :)

Here are some pictures I got off of their family blog:

A very proud Mommy and Daddy :)
